Please help, I don't know what to do, and I haven't been able to use software I paid for, for weeks. If I have to choose between my favorite antivirus and my life long dream, then I'm uninstalling Avast. Last, I've tried disabling my firewall, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling GameMaker, I've tried turning off Avast's core shield, I've tried quitting Avast. Sixth, this is such a new problem that the only solution I've managed to find is "Add GameMaker to your Antivirus exception list".

As soon as I accidentally clicked to run GameMaker's debug mode, and my firewall mentioned something (I didn't bother to read it, assuming it was GameMaker) requesting access to the internet, and I clicked Allow, Avast (presumably) began blocking GameMaker's sprite drawing capability again, despite the exception.įifth, GameMaker and all of its folders have full permissions on all of my accounts allowed, and GameMaker is allowed though my firewall. Avast doesn't care about users unless you've given them money. They told me to add GameMaker as an exception, and that was it. Yoyo won't do anything about it, I've already contacted them. GameMaker Studio 2 updated, and now Avast is preventing it from functioning properly. I've been a diehard Avast user for well over a decade, but it's getting in my way, now.
